I admit, I’m curious. Instructibles has a post for making your own Pop Rocks. Why would you want to do that? I’m not sure, actually. But it’s interesting.
The recipe uses sugar, corn syrup, baking soda, and citric acid crystals, as well as whatever flavoring you want. According to the site, “When using stronger flavors such as cinnamon, mint, and cherry, you can use a small amount (about 1/4 teaspoon). Subtler flavors such as lemon, strawberry, orange, and peach require more (1/2 to 1 teaspoon).”
