I like this simple DIY project that Eddie Ross has on his blog this morning. He found a pile of lampshades at Salvation Army and decided to spruce them up.
All I needed was some spray paint and a couple of rolls of spike tape, a cotton cloth … [Spike] tape [is] typically used to make temporary markings on stage. It doesn’t leave any residue when you peel it off.
(That’s a good tip about the Spike tape–I’ve had problems with spray paint bleeding under the tape before.)
