2011 Resolutions

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great holiday season. Now it’s back to work, which requires some planning and thinking about the year to come. Which of course means, New Year’s resolutions.
Last year, I shared a few of my 2010 New Year’s resolutions on here. I’m happy to say I did three of the four resolutions. I ate up the food from my freezer, used up most of my crafting supplies, and, best of all, paid off my student loans. I did not, however, sit down with a financial advisor. What can I say? I dread talking to money people.
Here are some resolutions for 2011:
1. Save Six Months Salary. Now that I have removed most of my debt, I want to put more focus into saving. Six months salary is a large chunk of change, but that is exactly why it appeals to me. If you have enough to live on for six months, you can weather most financial storms that come your way. Since this is a large goal, I may not be able to do it in one year. We’ll see.
2. Stick To My Food/Entertainment Budget. Lately, in an effort to save more money, my husband and I have been good about staying within our entertainment budget, and I want to keep it that way. There is nothing dumber than frittering your income away on meals out and frivolous entertainment.
3. Get Better At Photography For This Blog. My plan is to get a camera light and learn more about the fundamentals of photography. That way I can put even more projects on here… and you can see what I’m talking about!
So there are some of my resolutions for 2011. What are yours?

Sharing is caring!
